Patrick Iyampillai is a Co-Managing Partner of Hale Law who has devoted his entire legal career to representing injury victims—and only injury victims. With extensive experience across negotiation, litigation, mediation, and trial, Patrick has successfully handled hundreds of personal injury cases and recovered millions of dollars for individuals and families harmed by negligence, including cases involving wrongful death. He is committed to delivering exceptional results while ensuring every client receives personal attention, respect, and advocacy at the highest level.

Patrick earned his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. During law school, he distinguished himself as a member of Stetson’s nationally recognized Trial Team, was published by a law review, and received numerous awards for trial advocacy, professionalism, and student service. He also served as a research assistant, a teaching assistant for a Trial Advocacy course, and completed an advanced Trial Advocacy program at the University of Oxford in England. Following law school, Patrick further honed his skills by completing Harvard Law School’s Executive Education Program on Negotiation.

Patrick is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Sarasota, Manatee, and Hillsborough County Bar Associations, Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court, Florida Justice Association, American Association for Justice, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association, and Manasota Trial Lawyers Board. He is also a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an honor limited to attorneys who have secured million-dollar verdicts or settlements and achieved by less than one percent of lawyers nationwide. Patrick currently serves as a Director of the Manatee Bar.

Recognized for both excellence and professionalism, Patrick received The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division’s 36 Under Thirty-Six Professionalism Award. He has earned an AV Preeminent® Rating from Martindale-Hubbell for 2023 and 2025, as well as Judicial Edition Ratings for 2022 and 2024. From 2021-2026, Patrick was named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, an honor reserved for only 2.5% of Florida attorneys. He has been invited to speak at Stetson Law, IMG Academy, The Florida Holocaust Museum, Alabama Association for Justice, Teen Court of Sarasota, and ABC7 WWSB’s Attorney Spotlight.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, playing guitar, attending concerts and sporting events, golfing, and giving back to the community.
